Dear Parent/Guardian of a 6th Grader,
Virginia law requires all students to receive the Tdap, Meningococcal Conjugate, and education on the HPV immunizations prior to entering 7th grade. Seventh graders cannot begin school in the fall without documentation of having received these immunizations.
Please provide documentation that your child has received the required immunizations to the school prior to August 1, 2022.
Documentation can be obtained from your doctor or the Virginia Department of Health (https://www.vdh.virginia.gov/backtoschool/). If you need assistance with finding a location to be immunized, please contact your school nurse.
It is most important that you attend to this matter soon. Students will not be admitted to 7th grade unless the school has received documentation that their immunizations are up-to-date.
